A More Complete Bio

Born in South Carolina, I grew up as a good ol’ country boy, and a literal farm boy for a sizable chunk of my youth. I learned a lot from my grandfathers - one was among the last of the true family farmers, the other was a mechanic and handyman that could make or fix almost anything with his hands. Both took me hunting and fishing almost as soon as I started walking. My love of the outdoors lead me to join the Boy Scouts, where I spent most of my teen years camping, hiking, and learning outdoor & survival skills.

I have Bachelor Degrees in History and Accounting, and am extremely well-read on a wide-range of subjects. I have voraciously studied history, economics, business, geopolitics, science, and theology my whole life. I took my first classes in "primitive technology and aboriginal studies" from Steve Watts in 1997.

I've been active in the online prepper and survivalist community since 2003. In the early days, I ran two successful blogs (Sustainable Future and the Modern Victory Movement). I was the creator/moderator of the Yahoo Group, Surviving the End. I now am the owner/editor of two websites, Dystopian Survival (prepper/survival/self-reliance) and TimGamble.com (political resistance).

I never served in the military, but have great respect and gratitude for those who did. I worked in Museums for many years. Among other duties, I developed and wrote Disaster Preparedness and Recovery Plans. I am now self-employed, and live in an undisclosed location in western North Carolina.

I am a Biblical literalist, meaning that I believe and follow the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation, to the
best of my broken ability. When I fail, and I do, I am saved by Grace through Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus the Messiah). Yes, I obey God's Law (Torah) AND have the testimony of Yeshua (see Revelation 12:17).

I am a Constitutional literalist, meaning I adhere to the Constitution as written and intended by our Founders. I believe in limited government, small-market Capitalism, and that our Freedoms, as summarized in the Bill of Rights, come from God, not from Government or even by majority vote.

I am single, never married, with no children. I do hope to eventually marry, but have not yet found that special woman God intends for me. She must be a Christian, with similar beliefs, values, and worldview to mine. I believe friendship and loyalty are essential to any good long-term relationship.

In my spare time, I am an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoy hiking, trail running, and fishing. I am also a history buff, a science/tech enthusiast, and I am fascinated with Asian history, culture, food, music, and folklore.
