Top FDA Officials Concerned About Vaccine Booster Timelines That “Make No Sense”

FDA documents confirm a politicized approval process for Covid-19 vaccine boosters

07-27-2022 (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced yesterday it received 112 pages from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that show top officials being pressured by “companies and, for that matter the Administration, who try to impose timelines that make no sense.”

The records were produced to Judicial Watch in response to a February 2022 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) that was filed after HHS failed to respond to a September 3, 2021, FOIA request for records of Dr. Marion Gruber and Dr. Philip Krauses.

Drs. Gruber and Krause reportedly resigned during the White House’s push to approve the COVID-19 vaccine “booster shots.”

On September 13, 2021, Gruber and Krause were among a group of resigning doctors who agreed that, “Available evidence doesn’t yet indicate a need for COVID-19 vaccine booster shots among the general population …”

The records obtained by Judicial Watch include a series of email exchanges expressing concerns that the FDA was being pressured by pharmaceutical companies and the Biden administration to push forward Covid vaccine boosters without proper testing or review. In addition, Dr. Gruber expressed "serious concerns" about the test data they did have.

“These FDA documents confirm a politicized approval process for the controversial Covid-19 vaccine booster shots,” says Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “It is a scandal that it took months and a federal lawsuit to these troubling facts about this unprecedented and seemingly never-ending vaccine operation.”

Through FOIA requests and lawsuits, Judicial Watch has uncovered a substantial amount of information about COVID-19 issues:
  • Recently, NIH records revealed an FBI “inquiry” into the NIH’s controversial bat coronavirus grant tied to the Wuhan Institute of Virology. The records also show National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) officials were concerned about “gain-of-function” research in China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology in 2016. The Fauci agency was also concerned about EcoHealth Alliance’s lack of compliance with reporting rules and use of gain-of-function research in the NIH-funded research involving bat coronaviruses in Wuhan, China.
  • HHS records revealed that from 2014 to 2019, $826,277 was given to the Wuhan Institute of Virology for bat coronavirus research by the NIAID.
  • NIAID records showed that it gave nine China-related grants to EcoHealth Alliance to research coronavirus emergence in bats and was the NIH’s top issuer of grants to the Wuhan lab itself. The records also included an email from the vice director of the Wuhan Lab asking an NIH official for help finding disinfectants for decontamination of airtight suits and indoor surfaces.
  • HHS records included an “urgent for Dr. Fauci ” email chain, citing ties between the Wuhan lab and the taxpayer-funded EcoHealth Alliance. The government emails also reported that the foundation of U.S. billionaire Bill Gates worked closely with the Chinese government to pave the way for Chinese-produced medications to be sold outside China and help “raise China’s voice of governance by placing representatives from China on important international counsels as high level commitment from China.”
  • HHS records included a grant application for research involving the coronavirus that appears to describe “gain-of-function” research involving RNA extractions from bats, experiments on viruses, attempts to develop a chimeric virus and efforts to genetically manipulate the full-length bat SARSr-CoV WIV1 strain molecular clone.
  • HHS records showed the State Department and NIAID knew immediately in January 2020 that China was withholding COVID data, which was hindering risk assessment and response by public health officials.
  • University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) records show the former director of the Galveston National Laboratory at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB), Dr. James W. Le Duc warned Chinese researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology of potential investigations into the COVID issue by Congress.
  • HHS records regarding biodistribution studies and related data for the COVID-19 vaccines show a key component of the vaccines developed by Pfizer/BioNTech, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), were found outside the injection site, mainly the liver, adrenal glands, spleen and ovaries of test animals, eight to 48 hours after injection.
  • Records from the Federal Select Agent Program (FSAP) reveal safety lapses and violations at U.S. biosafety laboratories that conduct research on dangerous agents and toxins.
  • HHS records include emails between National Institutes of Health (NIH) then-Director Francis Collins and Anthony Fauci, the director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), about hydroxychloroquine and COVID-19.
  • HHS records show that NIH officials tailored confidentiality forms to China’s terms and that the World Health Organization (WHO) conducted an unreleased, “strictly confidential” COVID-19 epidemiological analysis in January 2020.
  • Fauci emails include his approval of a press release supportive of China’s response to the 2019 novel coronavirus.

Iran: House Churches Targeted

The following is an unedited press release from International Christian Concern (ICC). Please check out their website at www.persecution.org for more on the persecution and genocide of Christians around the world.

Iran Cracks Down on House Churches

07/20/2022 Iran (International Christian Concern) – In the Muslim-dominated state of Iran, courts have recently targeted four more Christians for house-church activities. One Christian victim is Rahmat Rostamipour. Authorities arrested him in April. During his initial arrest, government agents seized his family’s phones, ID cards, tablets used for school, and other personal belongings. They also interrogated his wife for hours the next day. Two months ago in May, the courts sentenced him to five years of deprivation of social rights and a fine of 6 million tomans for “engaging in educational activities contrary to the holy religion of Islam by establishing house-churches.” This punishment is relatively light but still labels Rahmat with a criminal record and deprives him of a month’s worth of wages via the fine.

In another, even more proximate case, three Christian house-church members are standing trial today, on July 19, for a crime that they have already been convicted of. In their previous trial, the three men, Ahmad Sarparast, Morteza Mashoodkari, and Ayoob Poor-Rezazadeh, were sentenced to five years in prison. The crime in both their previous and present trials and for which they face significant jail time is “engaging in propaganda and education of deviant beliefs contrary to the holy Sharia.” The three men argued in a July 5 hearing that they “reserve the right to have a place for prayer and collective worship.

Though Iran’s constitution does recognize Christianity as a minority faith in the country, authorities do not recognize the Christianity of converts. These converts are not allowed to attend the churches of established Christian communities, such as Armenian and Assyrian Christians, leaving them with nowhere to gather for communal worship and prayer other than house-churches. But the unsanctioned nature of these house churches makes them vulnerable to government persecution, labeling them as offensive to Islam and a threat to national security. We pray that Christian house churches in Iran would find relief from the harsh persecution that they presently face and that members of house churches threatened with legal repercussions would find justice.

China: Underground Catholic Church Demolished in Hebei Province

The following is an unedited press release from International Christian Concern (ICC). Please check out their website at www.persecution.org for more on the persecution and genocide of Christians around the world.

Underground Catholic Church Demolished in China’s Hebei

07/20/2022 China (International Christian Concern) – A Catholic church in China’s Hebei province that is not sanctioned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was demolished at the end of June.

On June 27, the authorities in Shijiazhuang city demolished the tent structure of underground Loyalty church, when its Bishop Dong Baolu was hospitalized for a medical checkup. He told Radio Free Asia“After I was admitted to the hospital, on Monday (June 27) they removed [it]. It has been more than ten days.”

ICC has reported earlier that Bishop Dong’s church faced demolition after local authorities had visited him and learned that he does not plan to join the official church. In his diocese, Zhengding, all the priests have been asked to join the state-vetted Catholic Church.

“Most of the [priests] in Zhengding diocese have received [preaching] certificates and signed the agreement. I am the only one left. Do you think they’d let me pass? I am the remaining one among more than 100 priests, certainly they will not spare me,” he told RFA.

His parishioners were concerned that he might be taken away, so they arranged for him to be away before the alleged demolition took place. As Bishop Dong foresaw, the demolition did take place during his absence. The parishioners did not resist the demolition that was done by workers hired by the government.

He thinks the reason behind the church’s current situation is related to the Sino-Vatican deal signed in 2018. “The Sino-Vatican agreement supports the official church, not underground church. This policy is as if when someone is sleepy, you hand him a pillow, perfect! Vatican has given [China] the opportunity to deal with underground church, now the government would be a fool if it does not handle [the underground church],” he added.

The Holy See signed a provisional deal with China on the appointment of bishops in fall 2018. The agreement permits the Chinese government to appoint its own bishops without pontifical mandate, although the latter would have to agree with the nomination.

Attacks on Pro-Life Organizations Include Violence, Vandalism, and Threats

The following is an unedited press release from International Christian Concern (ICC). Please check out their website at www.persecution.org for more on the persecution and genocide of Christians around the world.

Increased Hostilities against Churches and Pro-Life Groups, following Supreme Court Leak and Ruling

06/30/2022 Washington D.C. (International Christian Concern) – On May 2, Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion, revealing the potential outcome of the ongoing Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health was leaked from the Supreme Court, alluding to the potential revocation of the Roe v. Wade decision allowing abortion for parts of the country.

In the wake of the leak, many pro-choice Americans took to the streets, seeking to express disdain for the potential outcome. While rallies and protests were expected since Americans are guaranteed the right to express their opinions, a wave of hostility started against Catholics, who are doctrinally pro-life, and pro-life-leaning pregnancy resources centers.

Rallying demonstrators initially threatened to disrupt Catholic Masses on Mother’s Day and to burn the Eucharist, as an attempt to punish Catholics for their convictions. Following through on their word, demonstrations outside Catholic churches took place, including outside the iconic St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan.

The threats and protests were only the tips of the iceberg, as the intimidation continued to escalate. The first attack occurred in Southeast Portland, when a pro-life pregnancy crisis center was vandalized, leaving behind graffiti and smashed windows. Within days, two more were targeted: one in New York and another in a Portland suburb—both were allegedly firebombed. As of today, it is estimated that some 30 centers and churches around the U.S. have been targeted.

On June 17, after being pressured by concerned lawmakers and several threatening communiques began to proliferate online from a left-wing domestic terror collective, the FBI announced that it would launch an investigation into this series of attacks and threats against pregnancy centers and several faith-based organizations. The group, calling themselves Jane’s Revenge, called for increased violence and a “night of rage” on the night of the Court’s final ruling.

The weight of this case pushed these demonstrators to be bolder, as they sought to intimidate Protestants and Catholics alike and sway the future verdict. Their key message: “if abortions aren’t safe, then neither are you.” However, the fervor of many Christians remains steadfast in their convictions.

This ruling was finally announced on June 24, confirming the leaked opinion. On the day of the decision, several Catholic churches and dioceses were reportedly notified by the Department of Homeland Security in an urgent memo, warning them of the “night of rage” threatened by the pro-choice demonstrators. While the night of the ruling came and went without catastrophe, many pregnancy centers and catholic groups remain wary of the months to come.
