2-20-2020 - Worldwide, there are 76,295 confirmed cases of the Wuhan coronavirus, officially named , with 2,247 deaths, as of the latest updates. The vast majority of both cases and deaths are still in mainland China. However, there is no doubt that the number of cases and deaths in China are being severly under-reported by the Chinese government. The declining numbers currently being reported by the Chinese simply cannot be trusted.
Chinese media is reporting that 40 industrial incinerators, used for burning animal carcasses and medical waste, have been deployed to Wuhan. This is further stoking fears of a cover-up by the Chinese of the true number of deaths from the virus.
The BBC is reporting that Patient Zero, the first Covid 19 patient in China, did not have any contact with the wild animal and seafood market in Wuhan where China claims the outbreak began. This is in line with research published in the medical journal The Lancet, which found that 14 of the first 41 patients had no contact, direct or indirect, with that market.
China continues to not cooperate with international organizations and experts regarding the origins of Covid 19.
