UPDATE 6:00pm: The official death toll has risen to 429 after China announces 67 new deaths, the largest one day increase in deaths since the outbreak began. China also raised its official count of confirmed cases to 19,665. Most epidemiology experts agree that China is under-reporting both cases and deaths, as there is considerable evidence coming out of China that the outbreak is much worse than the official numbers indicate.
The death toll from the Wuhan Coronavirus has risen to 362, and the first death outside of China has been reported in the Philippines. There are now 11 confirmed cases in the United States. Doctors in Thailand have claimed success with a drug mix of HIV and influenza medications normally used for treating HIV patients (click here for more details). If true, this may lend some credence to speculation that the Wuhan Coronavirus may have escaped from a Chinese bio-warfare lab near Wuhan (click for more details, and also click here).
Worldwide Death Toll: 362 (361 in China, 1 in Philippines)
Confirmed Cases in US: 11
States with Confirmed Cases: Washington (1), Illinois (2), Arizona (1), California (6), Massachusetts (1)
Countries with Confirmed Cases: China, United States, Canada

Medical Face Masks
face masks continue to be difficult to find at retailers and on Amazon,
as increased news coverage has caused more buying. There is no true
shortage of the face masks, and the masks are being restocked, but
quickly sell out again. This is a supply-chain problem caused by all
retailers trying to restock at the same time. Expect supplies to remain
sporadic for the near future. (Click here for the medical face masks page on Amazon.)
