News Byte: Student Loan Debt Tops $1.5 Trillion

1-7-2020 - Federal student loan debt now tops $1.5 trillion according to a report released last week by the Federal Student Aid office of the U.S. Department of Education. This is a huge debt bubble that will only grow larger, with approximately 16.1 million new student loan applications already being processed for the 2019-2020 loan cycle. Student loan repayments have become a major burden on college graduates as college costs continue to skyrocket.
